Equipment Race – Rules
All 4 riders start and finish at the start/finish line
Rider 1 starts with a flag and places it into the flag cone on the centre line, rides to the changeover line, dismounts, picks up any item and rides to pass it to rider 2 behind the start line.
Rider 2 (followed by rider 3) places/drops their item on/into the appropriate empty cone (quoit or ball) or bucket (sock or hammer), rides to the changeover line, dismounts, picks up any remaining item and rides back to pass it to the next rider behind the start line.
Rider 4 places/drops their item on/into an EMPTY cone or bucket, rides to the changeover line, dismounts, picks up the remaining item and places/drops it on/into the remaining empty cone or bucket and rides back over the finish line
No item is brought home by the final rider.
At the end of the game there must be ONE item on/in each piece of equipment. The hammer is dropped into a bucket.
Riders must dismount to pick up all items at the changeover end. If whilst placing the ball on the cone, the ball drops to the ground then the ball must have made contact with the cone whilst in the hand of the rider for the rider to complete the action dismounted.
On the ground, on the 3m mark behind the changeover line offset between poles: 1 sock, 1 ball, rubber quoit and hammer.
On the field, offset between the poles: a cone in line with pole 1; bucket in line with pole 2, a flag cone on the centre line, a cone in line with pole 3 and a bucket in line with pole 4.

They then ride back up to the changeover line, dismount, pick up the remaining item and place/drop it on/into the remaining EMPTY cone or bucket and ride back over the finish line.
No item is brought home by the final rider.
